Our parents play a very important role in the success of our students. As the child’s first teacher, all of our parents are responsible for staying in contact with the classroom teachers.  This interaction demonstrates the importance of the home/school connection.   Our parents are also responsible for making sure their children are prepared for the school day and arriving to school on time.
Russell Elementary is a safe place to learn and grow.  We have received a “Gold Status” as identified by the Florida Positive Behavior Support program.  Our students take part in a very strong character building program, Project Wisdom, and a safety awareness program, Safer, Smarter Kids. Each day our students are reminded of our SOAR Expectations.  Through these programs our students are helping build a community of students who will become respected and productive members of their communities in which they live.
